Oil Filter Connections

With a Commando ,you get used to vibration issues, issolastics or not. I find that you go round the bike on a regular basis tightening up Jubilee  clips. What i have never done is the clips securing the hose to the Filter pipes, these now seem to be weeping . On inspection the slots are facing the back of the gearbox, with about an inch of gap. Using a Bicycle Tyre lever cut down to size and a long slim screwdriver pushed in the slot at 90% degrees I managed to tighten the near one some.   Cant even see the one "behind".  Has any one got a Wheeze Fix for this, Surely this has happened to others or am I missing something.      File under small but troublesome problem     Thanks All.

Remove the two bolts on the RH side that hold the filter assembly to the body of the rear engine mounting. Rotate the filter and housing by hand and viola!! Steve

... many years ago one of these hoses came off my first 850 when I was doing 60 or so uphill. Fortunately I felt the slight hesitation and pulled the clutch in before there was a dramatic seizure incluiding a bent con rod and a chunk out of one barrel. I then had to scramble to rebuild the engine before a trip to Germany on it a few weeks later.....
